Description
A homemade stuffed crust pizza that’s crisp, chewy, and bursting with melted cheese around the edges. Perfect for pizza nights, parties, or sharing with family.
Ingredients
1/2 recipe homemade pizza dough (or 1 lb. store-bought dough)
1 Tablespoon olive oil, divided
1 Tablespoon cornmeal
7 string cheeses
1/2 cup pizza sauce
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Handful of pepperoni or toppings of choice
Optional: dried basil, oregano, or Italian seasoning
Instructions
1. Prepare the pizza dough and let it rest at room temperature.
2. Preheat oven to 475°F (246°C) for 15–20 minutes.
3. Grease a baking sheet and sprinkle with cornmeal.
4. Stretch the dough into a 12-inch circle with a raised edge.
5. Line the edges with string cheese and fold the dough to seal.
6. Rest dough for a few minutes while gathering toppings.
7. Brush dough with olive oil and spread pizza sauce.
8. Add mozzarella, pepperoni, and seasonings.
9. Bake for 14–16 minutes until crust is golden.
10. Cool slightly, slice hot, and serve immediately.
Notes
You can use shredded mozzarella instead of string cheese.
Let dough rest if it resists stretching.
Try different cheeses in the crust for variety.
Great with homemade sauce or leftovers.
