Description
This easy caramel apple dump cake combines apple pie filling, caramel bits, yellow cake mix, and butter into a warm, gooey dessert that’s ready in under an hour.
Ingredients
2 (20 oz) cans apple pie filling
1 (11 oz) bag caramel bits
1 (15.25 oz) box yellow cake mix
¾ cup salted butter, thinly sliced
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. Spread apple pie filling evenly across the bottom.
3. Sprinkle caramel bits evenly over the apples.
4. Add the dry yellow cake mix on top and spread evenly.
5. Place butter slices evenly over the top to cover as much area as possible.
6. Bake for 45–50 minutes until golden brown and bubbling.
7. Cool for 10 minutes before serving with ice cream or whipped cream.
Notes
Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Reheat before serving for best results. Freeze for up to 2 months if needed.
