Description
Easy Italian Pinwheels made with cream cheese, peppers, provolone, and salami wrapped in tortillas. Perfect party appetizer.
Ingredients
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
½ cup red pepper spread
½ cup pepperoncini or banana peppers, chopped
1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
½ teaspoon coarse kosher salt
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon onion powder
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
16 slices provolone cheese, thinly sliced
16 slices salami or soppressata
8 large flour tortillas (10 or 12 inch)
Instructions
1. Combine cream cheese, red pepper spread, peppers, Italian seasoning, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper in a bowl.
2. Spread about ½ cup of mixture evenly over each tortilla.
3. At one end of each tortilla, place two slices of provolone and two slices of salami.
4. Roll each tortilla tightly and wrap in plastic wrap.
5. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or overnight.
6. Slice into 1-inch pieces with a serrated knife.
7. Arrange on a serving platter and enjoy.
Notes
For best results, make ahead and refrigerate overnight. Slice just before serving. Use flavored tortillas for variety.
