Description

These Honey Garlic Chicken Bites are crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and coated in a sweet and sticky garlic sauce. Ready in just 20 minutes, they’re the perfect quick dinner or appetizer for busy nights. Serve them over rice, noodles, or veggies for a complete meal.

Ingredients

Scale

1/2 lb boneless, skinless chicken, cut into 1-inch cubes

2 tbsp cornstarch, for coating

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

2 tbsp olive oil, for cooking

6 cloves garlic, minced

1/3 cup honey

2 tbsp soy sauce (use tamari for gluten-free)

1 tbsp rice vinegar

1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

2 tbsp green onions, sliced (for garnish)

1 tsp sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

1. Pat chicken pieces dry and toss them with cornstarch, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.

2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

3. Add the chicken in batches and cook for 3–4 minutes per side until golden and crispy. Remove and set aside.

4. Reduce the heat to medium and add minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.

5. Stir in honey, soy sauce, and rice vinegar. Simmer for 1–2 minutes until slightly thickened.

6. Return the chicken to the pan and toss to coat evenly in the sauce.

7. Allow the sauce to bubble and thicken for 1–2 minutes until glossy.

8. Sprinkle red pepper flakes if using, then remove from heat.

9. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.

10. Serve hot over rice, noodles, or steamed vegetables.

Notes

For extra crispiness, double-coat the chicken in cornstarch.

Use chicken thighs for a juicier texture.

Make the sauce spicier by adding more red pepper flakes or sriracha.

For a lighter version, bake or air fry the chicken instead of pan-frying.

Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat on the stove with a splash of water.
