Description
Honey Garlic Chicken Breasts are pan-seared to golden perfection and coated in a sweet, garlicky sauce made with honey, soy sauce, and butter.
Ingredients
4 chicken breasts
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons honey
3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons flour
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Slice chicken horizontally into cutlets and pat dry.
2. Season both sides with salt and pepper, then dust lightly with flour.
3. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
4. Sear chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
5. Add remaining butter and minced garlic to the skillet; cook for 30 seconds.
6. Pour in soy sauce and scrape up browned bits.
7. Whisk in honey and simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
8. Return chicken to skillet, spoon sauce over top, and simmer 2–3 minutes more.
9. Serve hot with extra sauce drizzled over.
Notes
Use fresh garlic for best flavour.
Add chili flakes for a touch of heat.
Serve with rice, noodles, or vegetables.
