Description
A fiery and creamy pasta dish with chicken, jalapeños, Cajun seasoning, and Parmesan cheese. Perfect for spice lovers who want bold flavors in every bite.
Ingredients
12 oz penne pasta
1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-size pieces
2 tbsp olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 small onion, diced
1–2 jalapeños or serrano peppers, finely chopped
1 tsp Cajun seasoning
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup chicken broth
3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup mozzarella cheese (optional)
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley or basil, chopped for garnish
Instructions
1. Bring salted water to a boil. Cook pasta until al dente, then drain.
2. Heat olive oil in skillet. Season chicken with Cajun spice, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned and done. Remove and set aside.
3. In same skillet, sauté onion and garlic until fragrant.
4. Add jalapeños and red pepper flakes. Cook 1–2 minutes.
5. Lower heat, add chicken broth and cream. Simmer gently.
6. Stir in Parmesan (and mozzarella if using) until smooth.
7. Return chicken and add pasta. Toss until coated in sauce.
8. Adjust seasoning. Garnish with parsley or basil. Serve warm.
Notes
For extra heat, add serrano peppers or chili oil. Store leftovers up to 3 days in refrigerator or freeze for 2 months.
