Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan or line it with parchment.
2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt butter and chopped dark chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Cool slightly.
3. Whisk sugar and eggs in a large bowl until smooth and fluffy. Stir in vanilla and the cooled butter-chocolate mixture.
4. In another bowl, sift cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder together. Gradually add the dry mix to the wet ingredients, stirring until combined.
